Meet Our Newest Dentist, Dr. Carissa King!

Dr. Carissa King

Dr. Carissa King is a Florence, Oregon native and graduated from Siuslaw High School in 2017. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University and Oregon State University (Go Beavs!). She attended dental school at Oregon Health and Sciences University. 

She married her high school sweetheart, Kyle, during dental school. They are thrilled to be back in their hometown and look forward to opportunities to serve this great community. In her spare time, Carissa enjoys trail running and weightlifting, reading, and being in the outdoors. She also loves track and field, traveling, skiing, and meeting new people. 

Carissa’s dad was a dentist in Florence for about 20 years and she grew up watching how fulfilling the profession can be. She loves how there is always something new to learn and always more people to connect with. 

She appreciates the fine craftsmanship that goes into dentistry and prides herself on being very detail oriented with her work. She enjoys interacting with her patients and cracking a few jokes to make them feel comfortable in the dental chair. Above all else, she is excited to give back to this special community in which she was raised.
